I was in traffic court. A girl ahead of me was up for failure to produce documents. She gave the judge her explanation that she had had a disagreement with her mom abd walked out leasing all her stuff in her room. When she didn’t produce the documents she got reminder letters but her mom never told her. The judge asked her had she ever heard the song “the living years” she said she hadn’t. He told her to go home and listen to it. For those that don’t know it’s about a guy who had a disagreement with his father and they never spoke again. Then his father died and the guy regretted never speaking to his father before he died. I have 4 older brothers. Throughout my childhood and even into adulthood I've slept in the same bed as them at various ages even though I had my own room. My father was abusive and an alcoholic, there was safety there that I/ we didn't have in our own beds. Just because they're sleeping with each other does not mean it's sexual in nature. Even if they're isn't a physical threat in the house, maybe shes having nightmares and recieves comfort from her big brother. However, if you suspect something funky going on it's worth getting to the bottom of. Without context it's hard to distinguish whether it's inappropriate or not.

The head of the day care called me with her voice boarding on panic. Another little kid had a metal horse trailer in his pocket while he was slinging his coat around and around and hit my daughter in the head. There is blood. I ask were she was hit, it was in the hairline. I asked if it stopped bleeding when they pressed on it. Yes. I know scalp cuts have a lot of blood veins and they bleed like crazy. I told them to press on it to stop the bleeding and then give her a big kiss to heal it and she would be fine. I got phone calls all night long from mothers whose drama queen daughters told them that Jenn had her brains knocked out. Drama in pre-school.
