The truth is the crocodile is more afraid of the hippocampus that it wouldn’t try to get the baby. Saw a documentary showing a mother hippo pushing her baby on top of a group of crocodiles so it could get on land and the crocs would even look at it. Now that is amazing that a baby hippo can adapt and swim within seconds of birth. Almost to end up an appetizer.
