They should have poked the cake and drizzled or brushed fireball over it like a glaze before the second layer and repeat on top before frosting.  Instead of this recipe which made a really flat cake because of the whiskey Use a box spice cake mix. Follow directions on the box, except use 4 eggs and milk instead of water and melted butter instead of vegetable oil. When cooked, brush all layers with fireball whiskey.
